Al-Sadd hold main training session ahead of Al-Gharafa clash

The Al Sadd first team held their main training session at the club’s training centre on Thursday, ahead of the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 17 game against Al-Gharafa.

Al Sadd enters the match sitting at the top of the QNB Stars League with 40 points, with two postponed matches yet to be played, against Qatar and Al Rayyan. Meanwhile, Al Gharafa are in fourth place with 26 points.

The coaching staff worked on implementing special attacking strategies, while focusing on the players’ movement. Later, the coaches organised a practice mini-game in the middle of the pitch.

The upcoming game against Al-Gharafa will see the return of South Korean international Jung Woo-young, who rejoined the Al-Sadd squad after his national team’s 2022 World Cup qualifying games, which ended in his side booking their spot in the finals in Qatar.

The Al-Sadd squad is now set to hold their final training session on Friday, at the end of which the coach will announce the list of players for the game, ahead of entering an overnight camp.
