Al-Sadd hold main training session to prepare for Al-Khor clash

The Al-Sadd first team held their main training session on Monday, in preparation for the QNB Stars League Round 15 game against Al-Khor.

Al-Sadd go into the match sitting at the top of the table with 38 points, after the 3-1 victory over second-placed Al Duhail in the last round.

Meanwhile, Al-Khor are ranked 11th in the table with 10 points. The first phase match between the two sides ended in a goalless draw.

During Monday’s main training session, the coaching staff worked on some tactical strategies, which included both offensive and defensive aspects, before moving on to the shooting exercises.

Midfielder Ali Asad returned to the team for training on Monday after recovering from an injury that saw him miss the last game against Al-Duhail.

Abdelkarim Hassan will miss the next game against Al-Khor due to the accumulation of bookings, after receiving his fourth yellow card in the clash with Al Duhail which resulted in a one-match suspension.

Meanwhile, Tarek Salman continued with his recuperation training under the supervision of the national team’s medical staff, as he works to recover from a knee ligament injury.

The Wolves are scheduled to have their final training session from 5:30 PM on Tuesday at the club’s secondary pitch, at the end of which the head coach will announce the matchday squad before going into an overnight camp.
