Al-Sadd holds Ordinary General Assembly meeting

The Ordinary General Assembly of Al-Sadd Club was convened at the club’s premises on Wednesday, August 30. The event was graced by the presence of key figures, including Engineer Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, the Vice President of the club, Turki Al Ali, the CEO of the club, Mohammed Ghanem Al Ali, the Head of the Football Department, and Mohammed Ghulam Al Balushi, the Sporting Director.

Among the attendees was Ibrahim Al Najjar, representing the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The assembly witnessed the participation of 29 members out of a total of 45. The agenda encompassed a range of pivotal discussions and decisions.

Key highlights from the Ordinary General Assembly were as follows:

– Approval of the minutes of the preceding meeting held on August 31, 2022.
– Comprehensive deliberation on the club president’s report, detailing the club’s endeavors throughout the past year and outlining programs and strategies for the approaching year.
– Ratification of the financial statement for the fiscal year 2022-2023, concluding on May 31, 2023. The budget proposal for the forthcoming year, 2023-2024, was also officially approved.
– Extensive discussion revolving around the auditor’s report, the appointment of the auditor, and the assessment of their remuneration for the upcoming year.

Turki Al Ali, the CEO of Al-Sadd Club, underscored the consistent synergy between the members and the club’s administration. He expressed, “There exists a shared vision among all members, one that aims to elevate Al-Sadd Club and sustain its legacy of accomplishments, consistently surpassing records year after year. We are immensely grateful for the unwavering support of our members and enthusiasts. We eagerly anticipate the realization of even greater achievements.”

He further elaborated, “Each year presents us with the challenge of surpassing our own achievements. Presently, the focus of our football team is directed towards the league, followed by our ambitions in the AFC Champions League.”

The Executive Director continued, “Our work in the club management is perpetually dedicated to serving Al-Sadd Club. We fully recognize the significant spotlight on our football team. Hence, our strategic emphasis has revolved around preparing the team since the preceding season. Our pursuit of standout acquisitions has borne fruit. Despite the early setback of Giovani’s injury, the team has showcased remarkable performances and achieved commendable results.”

Concluding on a positive note, he proclaimed, “Our optimism remains high as we eagerly anticipate a season rich with accomplishments, ultimately ending with the team securing championship wins.”
