His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association, presented the QNB Stars League shield to Al-Sadd, the champions of the 2021-22 edition, after the match against Al Duhail, which ended in a 1-1 draw at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Friday.
This triumph is the 16th in the history of Al-Sadd, who hold the record for most league titles. It is also the club’s 77th overall championship in football.
The first league title that Al Sadd won was in 1971-72.
