Al-Sadd’s first football team secured an 8-0 victory over Manchester 62 from Gibraltar in their first friendly match during their training camp in Malaga, preparation for the 2024-2025 season.
The goals for Al-Sadd were scored by Gonzalo Plata, who netted a hat-trick, in addition to Rafa Mujica who recorded a brace, and Abdullah Al-Yazidi, Pedro Miguel, and Giovani Henrique, who all got a goal apiece.
Al-Sadd started with a lineup consisting of Saad Al-Dosari, Abdulrahman Bakri, Ahmed Suhail, Abdullah Al-Yazidi, Musaab Khidir, Moustafa Tarek, Ali Asad, Ahmed Sayyar, Hashim Ali, Rafa Mujica, and Gonzalo Plata.
In the second half, Yousef Al-Balushi, Karim Mohammed, Khoukhi Boualem, Ahmed Al-Maghni, Guilherme Torres, Giovani Henrique, and Pedro Miguel were substituted in.
