Al Sadd’s first team resumed training at 5:30 PM on Thursday, after a four-day break, in preparation for the upcoming game against Al-Wakrah in the QNB Stars League.
The Wolves extended their lead at the top of the standings after their last win over Al-Arabi, and now have a tally of 37 points.
The team is now preparing for the clash with Al-Wakrah, a Round 11 game that was postponed due to several Al-Wakrah players testing positive for Covid-19. The rescheduled game is set to be played on Monday, the 31st of January at Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium.
Thursday’s training session witnessed the participation of Al-Sadd’s Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah, who joined training after the end of his participation with his national team in the Africa Nations Cup in Cameroon. Meanwhile, the team is currently without South Korean international Jung Woo-young, who is away with his national team for their matches in the Asian qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
