Al-Sadd midfielder Ali Asad expressed his joy at the crucial 2-0 win against Qatar SC in the rescheduled match from Round 8 of the QNB Stars League.
After the match, Ali said: “We thank God for this well-deserved victory against a strong and skilled team like Qatar SC.”
He added: “We lost a lot of points in the first seven rounds of the league, so we must approach every game like it’s a final and fight for every point to stay in the competition for the title.”
Ali acknowledged that the defeat against Al-Ahli was unexpected, saying: “Losing to Al-Ahli in the previous round was a surprise for us. Today, we entered the game with full force to make up for that loss and get back to our winning ways.”
