Al-Sadd forward Baghdad Bounedjah expressed his joy after his side’s big 6-0 victory over Al-Faisaly of Jordan in the third round of Group B in the AFC Champions League.
Bounedjah, who starred with a hat-trick, added in his statements after the match: “Thanks to God for the wonderful victory that we dedicate to the Al-Sadd fans. We are trying and putting in a lot of effort, and it was necessary for us to win, especially since the match was at home and in front of our fans.”
Regarding his decision not to celebrate scoring goals, Bounedjah said, “The circumstances do not allow for celebration after the events currently taking place in Gaza, and our hearts are with our people in Palestine.”
The best player of the match concluded his statement by saying, “We must work on building on this victory and focus strongly on the upcoming match, especially as we will play against Al-Faisaly again in Jordan. We must be focused in order to return with a win and three points.”
