Al-Sadd’s Baghdad Bounedjah expressed his happiness with his side’s 3-2 victory over Al-Ahli in the third round of the QNB Stars League.
In his statements after the match, Baghdad said: “We thank God for the victory and congratulate all our fans. We faced a difficult opponent who played against us with all their strength, but we tried until the end and succeeded in getting the three points.”
The Algerian striker added: “We are working with the coach to correct the mistakes that occurred in the past rounds. We had some defensive shortcomings, but all the team’s players are working together as one unit in order to improve from one game to another.”
Bounedjah stated that the absence of international players certainly has a significant impact on the team, and added: “Absences certainly have an impact. We are working hard on the field as senior players to help the young players. Four points in three matches is a satisfactory result so far, but we hope for better things.”
