Felix Sanchez, head coach of Al-Sadd’s first team, spoke about the difficulty of the upcoming Qatar Cup semifinal against Al-Ahli, set to be played on Tuesday evening at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Sanchez said: “We’re happy to have won the league title and to be participating in the Qatar Cup, a competition that brings together the top four teams from the final standings of the Ooredoo Stars League. It’s an important match against Al-Ahli, and we aim for a positive result to reach the final.” ... 

Al Sadd player Paulo Otávio expressed his delight at winning the league title, saying: “We’re happy to have lifted the shield deservedly, and we’re looking forward to more. Al Sadd achieved its objective of winning the league title, and the players showed fighting spirit in every match. There was strong determination from everyone to secure this championship.” ... 

Team captain Hassan Al Haydos expressed his deep joy after Al Sadd was crowned Ooredoo Stars League champions for the 2024–2025 season.

He said: “It’s a great feeling to achieve this milestone. Every fan is celebrating today after a well-earned and deserved title win.”

He added: “Winning the league this season was a real challenge for us. As players, we pledged from the start of the season to defend our title. Claiming the shield wasn’t easy, especially after trailing behind the leaders for 20 rounds. But in every match, we entered with the mindset of winning.” ... 

Al Sadd team manager Abdullah Al-Breik shared his elation following the club’s 18th league title win, which he described as “indescribable.”

“This title is a gift to His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, the club president, and to every fan of Al Sadd,” said Al-Breik. “We thank all the players and staff who played a part in achieving this title.” ...

Al Sadd officially clinched the 2024–2025 Ooredoo Stars League title after a commanding 5–0 victory over Al Ahli on Friday at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in the 22nd and final round of the season.

The victory marked Al Sadd’s 17th win of the league campaign—and their ninth in a row—bringing their total points to 52. Team captain Hassan Al Haydos and Qatari national team striker Akram Afif were presented with the club’s 18th league trophy by H.E. Mr. Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, President of the Qatar Football Association, to the delight of the cheering home crowd. ... 

Al Sadd were officially crowned champions of the 2024–2025 Ooredoo Stars League, securing the title for the 18th time in the club’s history following a commanding 5–0 victory over Al Ahli on Friday, 18 April 2025, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, in the 22nd and final round of the competition.

His Excellency Mr. Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, President of the Qatar Football Association and Chairman of the Qatar Stars League, along with Mr. Hani Taleb Ballan, CEO of the Qatar Stars League, crowned Al Sadd as league champions. The ceremony was also attended by His Excellency Engineer Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Vice President of Al Sadd SC, and His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid Al Thani, Member of the Club’s Advisory Council. ...
