Al-Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah remarked that the crucial 3-1 win over Al Duhail and his hattrick was the result of the efforts of all of his side’s players on the pitch.
Bounedjah said in his remarks after the match: “We made a great effort on the field against Al Duhail who had strong and fast players. We were able to take advantage of the opportunities and scored three goals.”
He continued: “Yes, I scored a hattrick and it was thanks to the efforts of the players and the team as a whole. Al Duhail has excellent defenders such as Ahmed Yasser and Benatia, and a striker must be mentally ready and I was mentally ready for them, and we won, which is a big step towards winning the league title.”
Bounedjah concluded by saying: “We take each match separately and we must focus on what is coming next, in order to officially win the title.”
