Akram Afif: This is a victory we desperately needed

Al-Sadd star Akram Afif described the team’s 2–0 victory over Iran’s Tractor as an important and influential result in the club’s Asian campaign.

Afif, who was named Man of the Match, said:

“I thank the Al Sadd fans who supported us in this difficult match. Yes, we achieved our second win, and it was a very important one — a victory we desperately needed. Our chances of qualification are still alive, and we will keep fighting until the last match.” ... 

Roberto Mancini: It was very important for us to defeat Tractor
