Xavi: Things are different in the Clasico, facing Al-Rayyan will be difficult

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez described his side’s upcoming clash against Al-Rayyan as “a very important game” and stressed on the desire to complete the season with an unbeaten record.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Xavi said: “Our next game is against Al-Rayyan, it’s a Clasico and it’s a very important game. Of course, we have already won the league but we have the motivation to finish the season unbeaten, with two games left.” ... 

Musaab Khidir: It was a difficult game, but we achieved our goal

Al-Sadd’s Musaab Khidir said that his side got what was required after a ‘difficult’ game against Al-Gharafa in Round 20 of the QNB Stars League, which saw the Wolves win 2-0.

Speaking after the match, Musaab said: “The match was difficult, especially as Al-Gharafa was looking to compete for the top four, but we achieved the most important thing, which was winning and collecting the three points.” ... 

QNB Stars League: Nam and Cazorla score as Al-Sadd defeat Al-Gharafa 2-0

A goal apiece in each half gave Al-Sadd a 2-0 victory over Al-Gharafa in the QNB Stars League Round 20 game that was played at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Saturday.

The result saw Al-Sadd take their points tally to 54, with the team remaining unbeaten this season. Nam Tae-hee put the Wolves in the lead with his strike in 16th minute, before Santi Cazorla dispatched a penalty in the 65th minute to complete the scoring. ...
