Al-Sadd SC announces the signing of Iranian defender Amin Hazbavi to play for the football first-team squad starting from the upcoming 2023-24 season. He has joined the club on a five-year contract, coming from the Iranian club Foolad Khuzestan.

Al Sadd SC announces the signing of Brazilian player Paulo Otavio from German club Wolfsburg, on a three-year deal starting from the 2023-2024 season.

Engineer Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, the Vice President of the club, extended his congratulations to Al-Arabi Club, its management, and fans, on their victory in the 2023 Amir Cup.

In his statement to Al-Sadd’s official website following the match, the club’s vice-president expressed his congratulations, stating, “I congratulate Al-Arabi club on their championship win. They had a commendable season and secured an important title. I would also like to congratulate national coach Younes Ali for his outstanding performance with the Al-Arabi team throughout the season.” ... 

Al-Sadd suffered a 3-0 defeat to Al-Arabi in the final match of the 2023 Amir Cup, which was played on Friday, at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.

Omar Al-Somah twice for Al-Arabi in the 62nd and 98th minutes, while Hamed Ismail added another goal in the 90th minute.

With this loss, Al-Sadd remained at 44 points in third place. Al-Sadd’s goal was scored by Baghdad Bounedjah in the 93rd minute, while Al-Arabi’s goals were scored by Abdullah Maarafi in the second minute and Omar Al-Somah in the 55th minute. ... 

Al-Sadd defender Pedro Miguel expressed confidence in his team’s preparation for their final week 22 match against Al-Arabi in the QNB Stars League.
