Al-Sadd head coach Juanma Lillo spoke about the difficulty of the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 3 game against Al-Ahli, which will be played on Wednesday.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Juanma said: “All the matches are different and difficult. Al Ahli started the league really well and they will be a difficult opponent for us.” ... 

The Al-Sadd first team continued training today, Friday, in preparation for facing Al-Ahli in Round 3 of the QNB Stars League. The match is set to be played on Wednesday, the 17th of August, at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium.

The technical staff, led by head coach Juanma, are looking to complete the training programme in the best way, to ensure the team is fully ready before the third round clash, especially as Al-Sadd is yet to achieve their first victory of the season.   ... 

Al-Sadd goalkeeper Jehad Mohammed said that his side’s draw against Umm Salal, in the second round of the QNB Stars League, tasted like defeat and that he felt they deserved more from the game.

Speaking after the 1-1 draw, Jehad said: “We missed a lot of chances, we were the best throughout the game in terms of controlling the ball and threatening the goal, and we deserved a better result than a draw.” ... 

Al-Sadd head coach Juanma remarked that his side was closer to the getting the win against Umm Salal, after a 1-1 draw in the QNB Stars League Round 2 game, which was played on Tuesday at the Khalifa International Stadium.

Speaking after the game, the coach added: “We began the game well. The red card had a big impact on the game. Umm Salal’s players were more spirited playing with the numerical disadvantage.” ... 

Al-Sadd settled for a 1-1 draw with Umm Salal in the QNB Stars League Round 2 game that was played on Tuesday at the Khalifa International Stadium.

Umm Salal took the lead through Joao Teixeira in the second minute of stoppage time, before Baghdad Bounedjah equalised for Al-Sadd in the 63rd minute. The result meant that the Wolves picked up their first point, following the opening round defeat to Al-Markhiya. ...

Ahmed Al-Saeed said during the pre-match press conference: “An important match awaits us against Umm Salal. Both teams are coming from a loss, and everyone wants to win. Our first objective will be to get the three points.” ...
