The Al-Sadd first team defeated Lusail FC 2-1 in a friendly game which was played on Thursday at the club’s training facility.

The Al Sadd first team continued training today, after getting a day off from training on Saturday, following the squad’s return from the overseas camp in Barcelona in preparation for the new 2021-22 season.

The coaching staff of the team, led by the head coach Xavi Hernandez, is aiming to have the players reach their top levels, both physically and technically, before the start of the league campaign. Al Sadd is scheduled to face Al Sailiya in the first round of the 2021-22 QNB Stars League on the 12th of September. ...

Al-Sadd lost 3-2 to Spanish side CE Sabadell in the second friendly of the overseas training camp in Olot, which was held as part of the preparations for the new 2021-22 season.

Sabadell opened the scoring in the 5th minute, before Andre Ayew equalised for Al-Sadd in the 40th minute. After the halftime break, Sabadell went ahead once again. Santi Cazorla then levelled the score in the 72nd minute. Sabadell scored the third and final goal in the 89th minute. ...

The Al-Sadd first team is set to face off with Spanish side Sabadell in their second friendly game of the ongoing preseason training camp in Olot. The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 PM local time on Friday, which corresponds to 7:30 PM Doha time.
