Meshaal Barsham: Umm Salal is a stubborn opponent

Al-Sadd goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham described his side’s upcoming match against Umm Salal, in Round 18 of the QNB Stars League, as a difficult encounter, and spoke of the team’s aim to keep winning.

Addressing the media at the pre-match press conference, Meshaal said: “It will be an intense and difficult encounter against Umm Salal. They’re a stubborn opponent and they’ve been performing well. Our goal is to continue our winning run and to get another three points.” ... 

Javi Gracia: We are ready to face Umm Salal

Al-Sadd head coach Javi Gracia has stressed the difficulty of the upcoming game against Umm Salal, in Round 18 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Gracia said: “I think Umm Salal is a good team. You can see from their stats they only lost four games. They don’t concede many goals, and don’t allow many chances. They have a very good balance in their team.” ... 

Al-Sadd hold main training session to prepare for Umm Salal clash

The Al-Sadd first team held their main training session on Monday, at the club’s training centre, in preparation for facing Umm Salal in Round 18 of the QNB Stars League.

Al-Sadd come into the match with great enthusiasm after the big 5-1 victory over Al-Gharafa, which saw the team raise their points tally at the top of the table to 43. The Wolves also have two postponed matches yet to be played, against Qatar and Al Rayyan. Meanwhile, Umm Salal are in sixth place with 25 points. ...

Al-Sadd coach Javi Gracia expressed his happiness after his team’s big 5-1 victory over Al-Gharafa, in Round 17 of the QNB Stars League. In his statement to the club’s website after the match, Gracia said: “We played a game that was not normal. We gave an extraordinary performance after we played more than 75 minutes with ten players, we controlled the game in an excellent way and scored five goals.” ...

Al-Sadd defender Tarek Salman expressed his delight after his side’s big 5-1 win over Al-Gharafa in Round 17 of the QNB Stars League. 

In his statement after the match, Tarek said: “Praise be to God, we played a very good match and the performance was wonderful. Despite the numerical disadvantage we suffered after the red card shown to Akram Afif at the beginning of the first half, our players were up to the responsibility and we got a five-goal win.” ... 

Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Al-Gharafa clash

The Al Sadd first team concluded their preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League game against Al Gharafa with their final training session on Friday evening. The match is scheduled to kick off at 4:35 PM on Saturday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

During the final training session, the coaching staff implemented the physical and technical training programme, and some light skill drills. ...

Al-Sadd’s Yousuf Abdurisag spoke of the difficulty of his side’s upcoming clash with Al Gharafa in Round 17 of the QNB Stars League.
