Al-Sadd squad take official photo for 2019-20 season

The Al Sadd first team squad’s official photo for the 2019-20 season was taken today, with the team posing with the four trophies they won.

In the 2019-20 season, Al-Sadd won the Super Cup, Qatar Cup, Ooredoo Cup, and finally the Amir Cup.

The official photo was taken in the presence of Mohammed Ghanem Al-Ali (head of football), Turki Al-Ali (general manager), and all the players of the first team, in addition to the technical staff led by Xavi Hernandez, and members of the administrative staff of the team. ... 

QPA honours Al-Sadd players

The Qatar Players Association (QPA) honoured Al-Sadd stars Abdelkarim Hassan, Akram Afif, Khoukhi Boualem, Pedro Miguel, and Baghdad Bounedjah after they were selected in the Best XI for the 2019/2020 season, as voted by players.

Ibrahim Al-Ghanim (vice president, QPA) and Meshaal Mubarak (member, QPA Board of Directors) handed over the awards for the five players before the first team’s training session on Sunday, in the presence of Al Sadd head of football Mohammed Ghanem Al-Ali and coach Xavi Hernandez. ... 

Qatargas U-23 League: Al Sadd defeat Al Duhail 3-0

The Al-Sadd U-23 team registered a 3-0 victory over Al-Duhail, in the Qatargas U-23 League Round 12 match that was played on Friday at the Grand Hamad Stadium.

With this victory, the Wolves maintained their lead in the league table with a tally of 30 points from 10 wins and two losses in the competition so far. ... 

Recovery training for the first team ahead of Al Khor clash

The Al-Sadd first team resumed their training at 5:30 PM on Wednesday at the club’s secondary pitch. This came just a day after the team’s big 3-1 win over Al-Duhail in Round 14 of the QNB Stars League.

It was Baghdad Bounedjah’s hattrick that powered the Wolves to the crucial win. The Algerian international is now the top scorer of the league with 15 goals. ...

Al-Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah remarked that the crucial 3-1 win over Al Duhail and his hattrick was the result of the efforts of all of his side’s players on the pitch.

Bounedjah said in his remarks after the match: “We made a great effort on the field against Al Duhail who had strong and fast players. We were able to take advantage of the opportunities and scored three goals.” ...

Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Al-Duhail clash

The Al-Sadd first team concluded their preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 14 clash with Al Duhail, with a final training session on Monday evening.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 6:45 PM on Tuesday at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

During Monday’s final training session, the coaching staff focused on ensuring physical and technical fitness of the players ahead of the game. ... 

Cazorla: I enjoy playing in Al Sadd, we need to be focused against Al Duhail

Al-Sadd’s Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla spoke of the need to prepare well ahead of his side’s clash with Al-Duhail in Round 14 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Cazorla said: “It will be a very difficult game against Al Duhail, we know that they are in a very good period. We have to prepare well for the game and try to win the important three points.” ...

Right now, they are in the best form in this season and so it means that it will be a very difficult game as always, especially because we are eight points above Al Duhail.
