Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Al-Duhail clash

The Al-Sadd first team concluded their preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 14 clash with Al Duhail, with a final training session on Monday evening.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 6:45 PM on Tuesday at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Cazorla: I enjoy playing in Al Sadd, we need to be focused against Al Duhail

Al-Sadd’s Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla spoke of the need to prepare well ahead of his side’s clash with Al-Duhail in Round 14 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Cazorla said: “It will be a very difficult game against Al Duhail, we know that they are in a very good period. We have to prepare well for the game and try to win the important three points.” ... 

Xavi: It will be a very difficult game as always against Al-Duhail

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez has stressed on the difficulty of his side’s upcoming game against Al-Duhail in Round 14 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Xavi said: “Our next game is against Al Duhail, and in my opinion they are one of the best teams in Asia, not only in Qatar. Right now, they are in the best form in this season and so it means that it will be a very difficult game as always, especially because we are eight points above Al Duhail. In my opinion, it’s the last opportunity for them to keep their hopes (alive) in this competition.” ... 

Al-Sadd hold main training session to prepare for Al-Duhail clash

The Al-Sadd football first team held their main training session from 5:30 PM onwards on Sunday at the club’s secondary pitch, in preparation for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 14 clash against Al-Duhail. The match is set to kick off at 6:45 PM on Tuesday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

The Wolves go into the game in high spirits following their 8-0 win over Al-Sailiya in Round 13, which increased their points tally to 35 and maintained the lead at the top of the table. Al-Duhail, meanwhile, are in second place with 27 points. The first phase game between the two teams ended in a 3-1 win for Al-Sadd. ... 

Xavi: We were at our best today and got three important points

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his happiness after his side’s 8-0 win over Al-Sailiya in Round 13 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking to the club website after the game, Xavi said: “I am very happy with this big win over Al-Sailiya. We played one of our best games this season and it was possible to score more goals. I am delighted with the performance of all the players who were at their best today. All the players are important for us this season.” ... 

QNB Stars League: Al-Sadd extend lead at the top after 8-0 win over Al-Sailiya

Al-Sadd racked up a huge 8-0 win over Al-Sailiya in the QNB Stars League Round 13 match which was played on Thursday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

The result means Al-Sadd extend their lead at the top of the table, with a tally of 35 points. Baghdad Bounedjah (24′, 80′, 86′, 89′), Nam Tae-hee (36′, 54′), Ali Asad (50′) and Santi Cazorla (61′) scored the goals for the Wolves. ... 

Ali Asad: Ready to face Al-Sailiya, it will be a difficult game

Al-Sadd midfielder Ali Asad described his side’s upcoming game against Al-Sailiya as “difficult”, adding that the Wolves are capable of winning all the trophies this season.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ali said: “The next game will be difficult after Al-Sailiya’s win over Al-Rayyan in their previous game. Al-Sailiya have a strong team and have great players, especially in attack. They deserve a better position based on their performances.” ...
