Felix Sanchez: We know it will be a challenging match against Qatar

Felix Sanchez, the head coach of Al Sadd, highlighted the importance of the upcoming match against Qatar SC in Week 13 of the Ooredoo Stars League, scheduled to take place on Thursday evening at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the Al Sadd coach said: “We are now preparing for the game against Qatar SC. At this stage of the season, every point matters, and we fully understand that it will be a strong and challenging match.”

He continued: “It’s essential to pay close attention to the details. I believe we must take our last game as an example. We did a lot of good things, but perhaps the details weren’t as effective as they should have been. Therefore, we will continue working on this aspect to achieve a positive result in Thursday’s match.”

Reflecting on the last game against Al Wasl, Sanchez remarked: “Of course, we feel regret, especially for our fans, as we were looking forward to winning and securing the cup. Unfortunately, we couldn’t achieve that. However, the team delivered a good performance, especially in the second half. I think we played a strong game and had enough opportunities to get a better result.”

He added: “This is football, and the small details make the difference. We remain optimistic and are working hard to prepare for the upcoming game.”

The Spanish coach concluded: “We know it’s a long season, and winning every game is impossible. But after the recent loss, we are determined to give our best and secure a positive result in the next match.”

On his part, Ahmed Sayyar reaffirmed Al Sadd’s readiness to face Qatar SC in Week 13, emphasizing the importance of securing all three points for the team.

Sayyar stated: “Every match is crucial for us and feels like a final, especially as we begin the second phase of the season. Al Sadd are the defending champions, and our goal is to win and collect points in every match to retain the title.”

Regarding the upcoming clash, the Al Sadd player said: “The match against Qatar SC will be tough for both teams. Our goal is to claim all three points and continue our winning streak. Al Sadd fans are our greatest supporters, and we look forward to seeing them in Thursday’s game at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.”
