Hassan Al-Haydos: We respect Al-Rayyan, finals are settled by small details

Al-Sadd captain Hassan Al Haydos stressed his team’s readiness and desire to win, ahead of the 2021 Amir Cup final clash with Al-Rayyan.

In his statements during the pre-match press conference, Al-Haydos said: “It will be an excellent atmosphere during the match, playing in a new stadium, in the final of a prestigious tournament. Finals are always settled by small details, and therefore we have to give our best in order to win.”

“We have full respect for Al Rayyan, it is a good team that has great players and an excellent coach. We must focus on ourselves and give everything we have to come out of the game as champions.”

He added: “The match will be difficult for both teams. Al Rayyan will come into the match and fight to win, and we will also fight to win. I do not expect it to be a big result like in the league because it is a completely different match from the league matches.”

When asked about the tremendous sporting development in Qatar in recent years, he said: “The authorities in sports have brought in the best coaches, and this took us a big leap forward. I am proud and happy to be part of that system.”
