International players return to Al-Sadd ahead of Al-Khor clash

Al-Sadd’s international players returned to the club on Thursday, as the first team went through their training session in preparation for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 10 game against Al-Khor, that will be played on Saturday at Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium.

Thursday’s session saw the return of the Al-Sadd players who were with the Qatar national team that finished third at the recently concluded FIFA Arab Cup, in addition to Baghdad Bounedjah, who won the title with Algeria.

The team trained in an atmosphere of high spirits following the return of the internationals, and stepped up their preparations for the resumption of the QNB Stars League campaign against Al-Khor, a game in which the Wolves will aim for a win to maintain their top spot.

Al-Sadd is currently ranked first in the league standings with 25 points after 9 rounds.

The Al-Sadd coaching staff led by Javi Gracia held a meeting with the players before the start of the training session in order to develop a plan of action for the next stage. The staff focused on tactical aspects during the session, and later Gracia had his players work on set-piece situations.
