Al-Sadd head coach Juanma expressed confidence in his team’s readiness to face Al-Duhail in the Qatar Cup 2023 final, which is scheduled to kick off at 10 PM on Thursday, April 6, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Juanma said: “We are prepared for this important final match, and we are aiming to win the title. Our preparations for the final were made through the matches we played in the league.”
He further added: “At Al-Sadd, we do not feel pressure in these games. We have a good and distinguished team, and the players are strong and present. We aim to win the title, especially since Al-Sadd fans deserve the Qatar Cup title.”
Regarding the team’s lack of success in the league championship, Juanma said: “We lost valuable points in the league, which could have put us in a better position. We made mistakes, and we will try to correct them, especially in the next match.”
He added: “We have a winning mentality at Al-Sadd, having already won the championship eight times. Our goal is to win the ninth title, and we have players who are highly professional and capable of assessing the situation and playing hard to win the championship. Starting the match with full force will be crucial in determining the winner, and we are working on it.”
Regarding player absences, he said: “Tarek Salman will be absent due to suspension, having been sent off against Al-Arabi in the semi-finals, and we will evaluate the technical and physical conditions of the rest of the players during training.”
Juanma concluded his remarks by saying: “I am confident that the stadium will be filled with fans, and I am sure Al-Sadd fans will strongly support their team. We will do our best to bring them joy by winning the title.”
