Al-Sadd head coach Juanma Lillo spoke about the significance of his team’s 2-0 win against Qatar SC in the postponed match from Round 8 of the QNB Stars League.
In his post-match statement, the Spanish coach said: “We came into the game with great intensity, and in the first 40 minutes, we were the better team, playing well, but we failed to convert our opportunities into goals, and Qatar proved to be a tough opponent.”
Juanma continued: “After scoring two goals and Qatar’s two players being sent off, we lost control of the match somewhat, despite creating many chances. However, we managed to hold on to the lead and secure the victory.”
When asked about Al-Sadd’s chances of contending for the QNB Stars League title, he replied: “Our goal is to win every match we play. We will continue to work hard and fight for three points in every game to keep competing for the title.”
