Al-Sadd’s South Korean international Jung Woo-young spoke of the importance of winning all the remaining games in the QNB Stars League, ahead of the team’s Round 9 clash with Al-Rayyan.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Woo-young said: “Before the World Cup we lost many points, and now it’s time to add points to our tally. From now we need to win all the games.”
“The Clasico is the start for us and we need to win this game. There is no other way.”
Asked about the recent period in which the team played and trained without several of its international players, Woo-young said: “We did not have Qatar national team players, in the period before the World Cup. Many young players got experience and this is good for the team.”
He added: “Now the national team players are back and like last season, we can play in a better way and like we are used to. We need to win all the games.”
