Ooredoo Cup: Al-Sadd conclude preparation for Al-Duhail clash

The Al-Sadd first team concluded its training today at the club’s secondary pitch, in preparation for the postponed Ooredoo Cup Round 1 game, against Al-Duhail. The game is set to kick off at 5:15 pm on Saturday evening at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium.

The Wolves enter the match with 4 points after a win, a draw and a loss, while Al-Duhail have 3 points from a win and two losses. The match was postponed due to the participation of the two teams in the AFC Champions League.

Al-Sadd will be without several first-team players for this game, including the 11 Qatari internationals who have been called up to the national team camp for the friendly games against Costa Rica and South Korea in November.

The national team squad includes the following players: Meshaal Barshim, Abdelkarim Hassan, Khoukhi Boualem, Tarek Salman, Musaab Khidir, Akram Afif, Hassan Al-Haydos, Muhammad Waad, Pedro Miguel, Ahmed Suhail, Yousuf Abdurisag. Al-Sadd will also miss young defender Bahaa El-Laithi, who was suffered an ankle ligament injury, which will keep him out of the team for two months.
