The Al Sadd first team concluded on Monday their preparations for the upcoming 2020-21 Ooredoo Cup group stage game against Al Sailiya. The third round game in Group A will kick off at 7:45 at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Al Duhail.
The Wolves go into the match without any points, after their first match in the tournament against Al Duhail was postponed due to the Champions League participation, while the second round game saw a 3-2 defeat to Qatar SC.
During the Ooredoo Cup, Al Sadd will depend on several players of the U-23 team, especially in light of the absence of 11 international players.
The coaching staff will look to capitalise on the high spirits in the squad after the recent 4-0 victory in the 2019-20 Ooredoo Cup final against Al Arabi.
Al Sadd’s other opponents in Group A are Al Duhail, Al Sailiya, Al Khor, Al Wakrah and Qatar.
