Al-Sadd got their first victory in the 2020-21 Ooredoo Cup, defeating Al-Khor in the Group A fourth round clash which was played at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium.

With this victory, Al-Sadd increased their points tally to 4 from 3 games, after a win, a draw and a defeat. The postponed match against Al-Duhail will be played next Saturday.

Al-Sadd depended on several U-23 players during this game, in the absence of the Qatari internationals who are away with the national team, and the foreigner players who were rested by Xavi.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, before Hashim Ali succeeded in putting Al Sadd in the lead with a wonderful shot from outside the penalty area in the 48th minute, and it proved to be the winner.
