Ooredoo Cup: Al-Sadd lose to Al-Wakrah

Al-Sadd fell to a 5-0 defeat to Al-Wakrah in their final Group A clash of the 2020-21 Ooredoo Cup, which was played at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday.

The result means that Al-Sadd end the group stage with 7 points, and the Wolves will await the other results from the group to know their final position.

Al-Wakrah opened the scoring through a penalty from Cristian Ceballos in the 4th minute, before Mohammed Benyettou (9′) and Ousmane Coulibaly (16′) scored to give their side a 3-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, Isaias Sanchez scored the fourth goal (56′) before Benyettou returned to net his second of the game in the 59th minute to conclude the scoring.
