The Al-Sadd first team players resumed their training at 5 pm on Thursday at the club secondary pitch, following the 3-1 victory over Al-Duhail in the rescheduled QNB Stars League Round 3 game which was played on Wednesday.
The Wolves are now preparing for the next game against Al-Ahli, in Round 5 of the league, which will be played on Sunday evening at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium.
Al-Sadd is currently ranked second in the table with 10 points, behind the leaders Al-Ahli, who have 12 points.
Thursday’s training witnessed recovery exercises for the first team players who had appeared in Wednesday’s game, while the rest of the players went through physical training and technical drills with the ball, in preparation for the next match.
Meanwhile, Algerian international striker Baghdad Bounedjah continued his treatment and rehabilitation training under the supervision of the Al-Sadd’s medical staff, as part of his recovery from the knee ligament injury which had kept him from the game against Al-Duhail.
The Al-Sadd players have been given a break from training tomorrow, Friday, with the team scheduled to hold its final training session on Saturday evening in preparation for the next match against Al-Ahli.
