Saad, Ali and Salem return to the squad as Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Al-Wakrah clash

The Al-Sadd first team concluded their preparations ahead of the QNB Stars League Round 8 match against Al Wakrah, which will be played on Tuesday evening at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

The Wolves go into the match sitting at the top of the league with 19 points from 6 wins and a draw, while Al-Wakrah are ranked sixth with 10 points. Al-Sadd will look to continue their run of victories to remain at the top of the table.

Head coach Xavi Hernandez supervised the final training session on Monday, seeking to prepare the players for tomorrow’s match. After the end of the session, the coach announced the list of 21-member squad for the game, which is as follows: Meshaal Barsham, Saad Al-Dosari, Jehad Muhammad, Jung Woo-young, Ahmed Sayyar, Pedro Miguel, Hassan Al-Haydos, Muhammad Waad, Salem Al-Hajri, Ali Asad, Khoukhi Boualem, Baghdad Bounedjah, Guilherme Torres, Rodrigo Tabata, Santi Cazorla, Abdelkarim Hassan, Yousef Abdurisag, Hashim Ali, Akram Afif, Hussam Kamal, Musaab Khidir.

The squad announcement witnessed the return of the trio of Saad Al-Dosari, Ali Asad and Salem Al-Hajri after they recovered from injury. Saad had sustained a head injury and had been out since mid-October, while Salem and Asad last played for the first team in February, before suffering Achilles tendon injuries which ruled them out for almost ten months.

Meanwhile, Tarek Salman misses out on the squad due to the accumulation of bookings, after he received his fourth yellow card in the last match against Umm Salal. South Korean midfielder Nam Tae-hee is also unavailable as he is suffering from a muscle injury.
