Al-Sadd midfielder Salem Al Hajri spoke of his team’s desire to continue at the same level when they face Al-Kharaitiyat match in Round 12 of the QNB Stars League.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Salem said: “We will strive to continue at the same level in our next match against Al Kharaitiyat at the beginning of the second phase of the league. We want to win the league title without losing a game, and that would be a good thing which will motivate us in the other tournaments.”
As for his fitness levels, the midfielder said: “Thanks to God, I have reached the final stage of my recovery. After being out for 9 months due to injury, I am now 100% fit. I hope I will be ready to help the team in the league and the other tournaments, in the upcoming stage.”
Salem concluded by saying: “Hopefully, we can complete the second phase like we did in the first. The league will be tougher as many teams have strengthened with new signings in the winter transfer window. Our team is one of the best in Asia and we must continue working and win the league title.”
