Al-Sadd announce 2026-27 preseason training schedule

Al Sadd Club has officially announced the schedule for their overseas training camp, which will be held in Austria as part of their preparations for the new 2026–2027 football season.

The first team will begin training in Doha on 5 July.

The team will then leave Doha for their first overseas camp in the Austrian city of Lienz on 13 July, with the camp running until 24 July. They will then move to their second camp in Bad Häring from 25 July until 8 August. ...

Amir Cup: Al-Sadd finish as runners-up

Al-Sadd lost the final of the 2025–2026 Amir Cup after suffering a 4–1 defeat against Al-Gharafa in the match played on Saturday, 9 May 2026, at Khalifa International Stadium.

Substitute Javairo Dilrosun scored the only goal for Al-Sadd in the 88th minute.

Italian coach Roberto Mancini expressed his happiness on guiding Al-Sadd to the final of the Amir Cup, stressing that the team enters the clash against Al-Gharafa with a clear ambition to win the title.

Al-Sadd captain Hassan Al-Haydos expressed his great happiness following the team’s 4–1 victory over Al-Duhail and qualification to the 2026 Amir Cup final, stressing that the team achieved its objective in a difficult match.

Speaking after the game, Al-Haydos said: “I’m happy with the victory and reaching this prestigious final. The match was not easy, but we managed to deliver a strong performance and secure a deserved win.” ... 

Al-Sadd beat Al-Duhail 4-1 to reach Amir Cup final

Al-Sadd qualified for the final of the 2026 Amir Cup after defeating Al-Duhail 4–1 in the semi-final match held on Tuesday at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Al-Rayyan Club.

Al-Sadd will face Al-Gharafa in the final, which is scheduled to take place on 9 May.

Akram Afif scored twice for Al-Sadd in the 10th and 90th minutes, while Rafa Mujica added the second goal in the 24th minute and Hassan Al-Haydos scored the fourth in the 82nd minute. Al-Duhail’s only goal was scored by Boubacar Soumaré in the 55th minute. ... 

Roberto Mancini: We know the match will not be easy at all

Al-Sadd coach Roberto Mancini confirmed that his team is preparing for a difficult and strong clash against Al-Duhail in the semi-finals of the Amir Cup, stressing the importance of the match in the team’s journey towards winning the title.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Mancini explained that the team is suffering from fatigue due to the congested fixture schedule, but at the same time stressed that the players are ready for the challenge against one of the strongest teams in Qatar. ...

Al-Sadd striker Rafa Mujica expressed his great happiness following the team’s important 6–4 victory over Al-Shamal and qualification to the semi-finals of the Amir Cup.
