Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez has stressed on the difficulty of his side’s upcoming game against Qatar SC in Round 11 of the QNB Stars League, which will be played on Monday at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Xavi said: “In my opinion, we are playing against the team in the best form in the competition, because they won five games in a row, with their new player Belaili making the difference. They also have other good foreigner players – Berrahma, Galvez, Karimi and Okpotu.” ... 

The Al Sadd first team held its main training session on Saturday, at the club’s training facility in preparation for the upcoming game against Qatar SC in Week 11 of the QNB Stars League.

Al-Sadd go into the game in high spirits after opening up a seven-point at the top of the league table, having defeated Al-Rayyan 1-0 in their last match. Meanwhile, Qatar SC is ranked fifth in the table with 18 points. ... 

Al-Sadd defender Tarek Salman described his happiness after his side defeated Al-Rayyan 1-0 in the Qatar Clasico on Wednesday.

Speaking after the game, Tarek said: “Congratulations to Al-Sadd fans on the win, and I want to thank my teammates for the strong performance which they showed today on the pitch, in a really tough game.” ... 

Al-Sadd forward Baghdad Bounedjah praised his side’s desire to win, after their 1-0 victory over Al-Rayyan in the tenth round of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking after the game, Bounedjah said: “The match was very difficult. Al Rayyan succeeded in focusing on the defensive side and blocked all openings, but in the end one goal enabled us to win and get out with the three points.” ...

The management of Al-Messila Resort & Spa held a celebration on Monday evening, to honur the Al-Sadd squad after their triumph in the 2020 Amir Cup final. The Wolves were crowned with the new edition of the trophy, after defeating Al-Arabi 2-1 at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium.

The resort management celebrated with players and coaching staff, wishing the team continued success.
