Team captain Hassan Al Haydos expressed his deep joy after Al Sadd was crowned Ooredoo Stars League champions for the 2024–2025 season.

He said: “It’s a great feeling to achieve this milestone. Every fan is celebrating today after a well-earned and deserved title win.”

He added: “Winning the league this season was a real challenge for us. As players, we pledged from the start of the season to defend our title. Claiming the shield wasn’t easy, especially after trailing behind the leaders for 20 rounds. But in every match, we entered with the mindset of winning.” ... 

Al Sadd team manager Abdullah Al-Breik shared his elation following the club’s 18th league title win, which he described as “indescribable.”

“This title is a gift to His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, the club president, and to every fan of Al Sadd,” said Al-Breik. “We thank all the players and staff who played a part in achieving this title.” ... 

Al Sadd head coach Felix Sanchez expressed his joy after guiding the team to the league title in his debut season with the club.

“I’m extremely proud and thankful to the players for their hard work throughout the season, as well as the technical, medical, and administrative staff. It’s a wonderful moment to celebrate this achievement with our fans,” said Sanchez. ... 

Following the title celebration, Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid Al Thani, member of Al Sadd’s Executive Committee, congratulated the players, management, and fans on winning the club’s 18th league title.

“The competition this season was incredibly strong, and although the team faced many challenges, we ultimately reached our target and were crowned champions,” he said. ... 

Al Sadd officially clinched the 2024–2025 Ooredoo Stars League title after a commanding 5–0 victory over Al Ahli on Friday at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in the 22nd and final round of the season.

The victory marked Al Sadd’s 17th win of the league campaign—and their ninth in a row—bringing their total points to 52. Team captain Hassan Al Haydos and Qatari national team striker Akram Afif were presented with the club’s 18th league trophy by H.E. Mr. Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, President of the Qatar Football Association, to the delight of the cheering home crowd. ... 

Al Sadd were officially crowned champions of the 2024–2025 Ooredoo Stars League, securing the title for the 18th time in the club’s history following a commanding 5–0 victory over Al Ahli on Friday, 18 April 2025, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, in the 22nd and final round of the competition.

His Excellency Mr. Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, President of the Qatar Football Association and Chairman of the Qatar Stars League, along with Mr. Hani Taleb Ballan, CEO of the Qatar Stars League, crowned Al Sadd as league champions. The ceremony was also attended by His Excellency Engineer Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Vice President of Al Sadd SC, and His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid Al Thani, Member of the Club’s Advisory Council. ... 

Felix Sanchez, head coach of Al Sadd, emphasised the difficulty of their upcoming clash against Al Ahli in the 22nd and final round of the 2024–2025 Ooredoo Stars League.

Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Sanchez said:
“We are heading into our final league match against Al Ahli. In the first-leg match, we managed a hard-fought draw. It’s clear that Al Ahli have had an impressive season. They have a well-organised team, a strong attack, and players capable of making the difference. Overall, they are a high-quality side.” ... 

Al-Sadd midfielder Moustafa Tarek congratulated the team’s fans following the 3–0 win over Al Khor in Week 21 of the 2024–2025 Ooredoo Stars League.

Speaking after the match, Moustafa said: “This game was like a final for us. Our full focus is now on the next match. We’ve beaten Al Khor, and we’ll prepare strongly for the final fixture against Al Ahli.” ... 

Al Sadd continued their winning run in the 2024–2025 Ooredoo Stars League with a 3–0 victory over Al Khor, in the Week 21 match held at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Friday, 11 April 2025.

The goals for Al Sadd were scored by Rafa Mujica, in the 17th minute, and Akram Afif, who added a brace — scoring first from the penalty spot in the 41st minute, then again in the 63rd.
With this result, Al Zaeem moved up to 49 points at the top of the league table. ...
