Al-Sadd’s Mohammed Waad has emphasised the challenge of the upcoming Expo Stars League match against Al-Ahli, speaking about the need to play with concentration.

During the pre-match press conference, Waad stated, “The upcoming match against Al-Ahli is tough. We must play with high concentration to secure the three points and maintain our position at the top.” ... 

Al-Sadd head coach Wesam Rizk has affirmed the team’s preparedness for the upcoming match against Al-Ahli, part of the postponed fixtures from the thirteenth week of the 2023-2024 Expo Stars League season.

During the press conference preceding the match, Wesam stated, “We face a crucial match against Al-Ahli. Securing the three points is imperative to maintain our position at the top. Our objective is to deliver an improved performance compared to our last encounter with Al-Duhail.” ... 

Al-Sadd endured a disappointing 1-3 defeat against Al-Duhail, in the Expo Stars League Week 20 clash, which was played on Friday at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

The loss saw Al-Sadd’s points tally remain at 43, while they stayed top of the table. Akram Afif scored the solitary goal for Al-Sadd in the third minute of injury time. Meanwhile, Al-Duhail scored through Almoez Ali (40′), Michael Olunga (57′), and Sultan Al-Breik (68′). ... 

Al Sadd Club has announced that three of its players have been called up to the Qatar national under-23 football team. The team is preparing for the upcoming AFC U-23 Asian Cup, which will be hosted by Qatar from April 15 to May 3, 2024. Al-Sadd came from behind to record a 2-1 victory against Al-Markhiya, in their Expo Stars League Week 19 clash held at the Grand Hamad Stadium on Sunday.

With this win, Al-Sadd consolidated their position at the top of the table, increasing their tally to 43 points.

The match began with Al-Sadd asserting their dominance, launching several threatening attacks on Al-Markhiya’s goal. Despite their efforts, they struggled to create clear-cut opportunities in the early stages. In the 11th minute, Al-Sadd missed a golden chance to open the scoring after a well-delivered corner kick from Akram Afif found Baghdad Bounedjah, whose shot was expertly saved by Al-Markhiya’s goalkeeper, Omar Barry. ...
