Al-Sadd head coach Wesam Rizk considers our national team’s recent victory in the Asian Cup, held in Doha, a significant achievement after Al-Annabi secured the title for the second consecutive edition.
Speaking during the press conference for the upcoming match against Al-Wakrah in Week 14 of the Expo Stars League, Wesam said: “We congratulate ourselves, all the fans, the Qatar Football Association, and the players on this great achievement.”
Regarding the upcoming Al-Wakrah clash, Wesam said: “We are happy about the return of the league. We have a very important match against Al-Wakrah, and we have prepared for it in the right manner to achieve victory.”
He added: “I am pleased with the physical condition of all the international players after returning from the rest period they had. They are aware of the responsibility they have towards the team after the Asian achievement. Our goal is to continue working to maintain the lead in the competition.”
Wesam emphasized that the Al-Sadd fans know their role with the team, saying: “The Al-Sadd fans give us great strength during the matches, and they don’t need an invitation to support the team in this journey.”
