Xavi, Cazorla win Best Coach, Player awards

The Board of Trustees of the Qatar Football Association Award announced the final nominees for the 2020-2021 post-season awards, after the completion of the voting process and the counting of votes.

It had been decided to cancel the award ceremony this season, with the winners being announced through the official website and social media accounts of the Qatar Football Association and the Qatar Stars League.

Al-Sadd coach Xavi Hernandez, won the Best Coach award for the 2020-21 season, after winning the Qatar Cup and QNB Stars League titles, in addition to reaching the final of the Amir Cup.

The award for the Best Player of the season went to Al-Sadd’s Spanish playmaker Santi Cazorla, after he got the highest percentage of votes in the final voting process.

The Mansour Muftah Award for the league’s top scorer went to Al Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah, who netted 21 goals.
