Al-Sadd coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance against Al-Wakrah in the match that ended in a 1-1 draw in Round 19 of the QNB Stars League.
In his statements to the club’s website after the match, Xavi said: “I am proud of what the players showed in front of an excellent and organized team, it was a difficult match and we came out with a result that was not bad even though we entered the match in order to win.”
Al-Sadd coach added: “After winning the league, our goal is to finish the competition without any defeats. We will continue to work towards achieving all our goals, which is to win all the championships, locally and in Asia.”
Regarding the announcement of the start of the 2021 AFC Champions League matches this April in Riyadh, Xavi said: “We are well prepared for the AFC Champions League, and qualifying for the second round will be our first goal. We also want to win the Amir Cup in order to finish the season in a wonderful way.”
