Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his happiness after his side’s 8-0 win over Al-Sailiya in Round 13 of the QNB Stars League.
Speaking to the club website after the game, Xavi said: “I am very happy with this big win over Al-Sailiya. We played one of our best games this season and it was possible to score more goals. I am delighted with the performance of all the players who were at their best today. All the players are important for us this season.”
“We got three important points for our campaign to win the league title, but we haven’t achieved anything yet.”
He added: “I am happy with the performance of all the players, and especially the return of Ali Asad and Salem Al-Hajri, and the young players Hashim Ali and Abdullah Bader. I hope everyone continues in this level in this next phase.”
As for Baghdad Bounedjah scoring four goals in the game, Xavi said: “Baghdad worked well and he deserves the super hattrick today, and I wish him more success and for the rest of the team as well.”
