Al Sadd head coach Javi Gracia stressed the importance of Al Sadd’s 3-0 victory over Al Khor, in the tenth round of the QNB Stars League.
In his statement after the match, Gracia told the club’s website: “We played a good match. We played with high concentration in the first half, controlled the course of the game and missed a lot of chances.”
He continued: “In the second half, we suffered at the beginning and our three-goal lead was the reason for that, but we managed to create the required balance after we played with four defenders. In general, we played an excellent match and I am happy with all the players’ performance, and the result.”
As for the young goalkeeper Yousef Abdullah and his first match with the team, Gracia said: “I am very happy with the young goalkeeper Yousef, especially since it is his first official match with the first team. He gave an excellent performance and was up to the task when the team needed him. He played a great game and helped us a lot in this victory.”
