Al-Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah described the upcoming game against Al-Gharafa as a difficult clash, and spoke of his hope that Al-Sadd will be able to win it with the support of the fans.
Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Bounedjah said: “The matches between Al-Gharafa and Al-Sadd are always difficult, intense and at a very high level.”
The Algerian striker pointed out that the team’s situation is not the same as last season, in the absence of international players, and added: “We are playing with ambitious and excellent young players. Until now we have played three matches. We lost in the first match, and then wasted many opportunities and could only manage a draw against Umm Salal. Against Al-Ahli in our third game, our focus was higher and we managed to achieve victory.”
Bounedjah concluded by saying: “We need Al Sadd fans in all the matches, especially the next one against Al Gharafa, which is like a derby, and we hope that we will always make them happy.”
