The Al-Sadd first team squad delegation will travel to Barcelona on Monday, the 2nd of August for the 2021-22 overseas preseason training camp, which will last until the 14th of the same month.
The Al-Sadd delegation will consist of players, technical staff and administration officials. The squad will fly to Barcelona airport, from where they will travel to Olot, the location of this year’s camp. Head coach Xavi Hernandez and his staff will look to prepare the team in the best manner ahead of the start of the new season. This is the second time that the Wolves are organising the camp in Olot, after having earlier done the same ahead of the 2019-20 season.
The coaching staff have decided to play three friendly games during the overseas preseason camp.
The Wolves had earlier begun their preseason preparations in Doha on the 21st of July, in the absence of the team’s Qatari internationals, who are currently away in the United States particpating in the Gold Cup. Besides the national team group, Salem Al-Hajri is also unavailable after sustaining an Achilles tendon injury during the national team’s last training camp.
