Al Sadd lost on penalties (5-4) after a 2-2 draw in both regular and extra time against Al Gharafa in the Amir Cup quarter-final match held today, Wednesday, at Al Thumama Stadium.
Al Sadd’s goals came from an own goal by Aron Gunnarsson in the 67th minute and a stoppage-time equalizer by Boualem Khoukhi in the 90+9 minute.
Al Gharafa scored through Joselu from the penalty spot in the 45+3 minute and Yacine Brahimi, also from the penalty spot, in the 53rd minute.
