Al-Sadd defender Baha Al-Laithi spoke about the difficulty of his side’s opening match in the 2022-23 QNB Stars League against newly-promoted side Al Markhiya.
Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Al-Laithi said: “The first game against Al-Markhiya will be difficult and spirited, which is usual in the opening matches of the league.”
He added: “The recent preseason camp in Austria was excellent. We got to know each other some more and got acquainted with the coach’s plans, which will help us at the beginning of our campaign. We played several good friendly matches that we benefited a lot from, and the team is now fully prepared to go into the league and to give our best.”
