Al Sadd continue to prepare for Al Ahli, Tarek Salman returns

The Al Sadd first team continued their preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 16 game against Al Ahli, with another training session on Sunday.

The match against Al Ahli will be played next Saturday, the thirteenth of February, at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Al Sadd’s coaching staff, led by Xavi Hernandez, is looking to prepare the players and bring them to the required levels of fitness before the resumption of the league championship, with the Wolves very close to formally securing the title for the 2020-21 season. ... 

Qatargas U-23 League: Al Sadd defeat Qatar SC 1-0

The Under-23 team at Al-Sadd maintained their lead at the top of the Qatargas U-23 League table, after defeating Qatar SC 1-0 in the fifteenth round match that was held today, Saturday, at the Grand Hamad Stadium.

With this victory, the Wolves maintained their lead in the league with 39 points.

Xavi and Bounedjah receive QSL Best Coach and Player awards for January

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez and forward Baghdad Bounedjah received their awards from the QNB Stars League after being chosen as the Best Coach and Best Player for the month of January 2021.

During this period, Al-Sadd played 4 games and won all of them, scoring 23 goals and conceding just once.

Bounedjah was chosen by the QSL as the Best Player after scoring 11 goals in these games, in addition to contributing 3 assists. ... 

Al-Sadd resume training after a break

The Al-Sadd first team resumed training on Tuesday after a six-day break which followed the big 7-0 win over Muaither in the Round of 16 of the Amir Cup.

The Wolves are now preparing for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 16 game against Al-Ahli, which will be played on February 13 at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. ... 

Qatargas U-23 League: Al-Sadd defeat Al-Khor 6-1

The Al-Sadd U-23 team continued their run of victories in the Qatargas U-23 League, after a 6-1 win over Al-Khor in the Round 14 match which was played on Friday at Al-Shamal Stadium. With this result, Al-Sadd maintained their lead at the top of the league table with a tally of 36 points.

Abdullah Ismail gave Al-Sadd the lead in the 40th minute, before Mustafa Tariq added the second goal (45’). Hassan Ahmed (47′, 70′, 89′) then netted a second-half hat-trick, while Rami Suhail (63’) also got on the scoresheet for the Wolves. Asaad Riyad scored the only goal for Al Khor in the 84th minute. ... 

AFC Champions League 2021: Al Sadd drawn in Group D

The AFC Champions League 2021 group stage draw was held at the AFC’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.

The draw placed Al-Sadd in Group D, which also includes Al-Nasr (KSA), Al-Wehdat (Jordan), and the winner from the play-off between Al-Ain (UAE) and Foolad (Iran).

The play-off between Al Ain and Foolad will be played on the seventh of April, and the group stage will then be held from 14-30 April in a centralised format. ...
