Al-Sadd’s Rodrigo Tabata spoke about the importance of winning the next game against Al-Wakrah in Round 7 of the QNB Stars League. 

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Tabata said:  “We have a strong game coming up against Al Wakrah who have started the season very well and have very good players.” ... 

Al-Sadd head coach Juanma addressed the media and spoke of the difficulty of facing Al-Wakrah in the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 7 clash.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Juanma said: “It seems to me to be that Al-Wakrah is a team that has earned a reputation within the country for its way of playing, with good organisation and has a way of approaching matches or a very clear attacking intention.” ... 

Al-Sadd CEO Turki Al-Ali received at the club’s training centre on Monday evening His Excellency Mr. Mustapha Ussif, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Ghana.

In attendance at the club during the visit, was Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid Al Thani, member of the club’s executive council, Mohamed Ghanem Al Ali, head of the football department, and Mohamed Ghulam Al Balushi, the club’s sporting director. ... 

The Al-Sadd first team continued with its daily training sessions, in preparation for facing Al-Wakrah, in the QNB Stars League Round 7 game that will be played on Wednesday at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

On Sunday, all the players who are currently with the team trained under the leadership of the team’s head coach Juanma, who worked on intensifying the preparations for the next match. ... 

Al-Sadd fell to a 1-2 defeat to Al-Shamal, in the QNB Stars League Round 6 match that was held on Tuesday at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

With this result, Al-Sadd remain on 7 points, after two victories, a draw and three defeats.

Al Sadd went ahead through Andre Ayew in the 7th minute, before Amjad Atwan scored the equaliser for Al Shamal in the 20th minute from a penalty. Ali Alwan added the second goal for Al Shamal in the 34th minute. ... 

Al-Sadd forward Hashim Ali addressed the media ahead of the upcoming QNB Stars League game against Al-Shamal, and spoke about the importance of the clash.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Hashim said: “The next match is very important for us and we are fully committed.”

“After winning the last game we have 7 points and we need 3 points in the next game also to improve our position in the table, and so, as I mentioned, the next match is very important for us.” ... 

Al-Sadd head coach Juanma Lillo stressed on the difficulty of the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 6 game against Al-Shamal, while speaking at the pre-match press conference.

He said: “As I say each week, each opponent has characteristics that make the game difficult. This team also comes with good organisation and it is a team that generates difficulty for everyone.” ... 

Al-Sadd defender Bahaa Al-Laithi described his side’s 2-1 victory over Al-Sailiya as a morale-boosting result that will have an impact on the team’s campaign in the QNB Stars League.

In his statement after the match, Al-Laithi said: “We thank God for this victory. I congratulate the players for the effort they made. The match was difficult, against a good opponent, but we were looking for victory from the first minute, to collect the three points.” ... 

Al-Sadd recorded a 2-1 win over Al-Sailiya in the QNB Stars League Round 5 game which was played at the Education City Stadium on Tuesday.

The result meant that Al-Sadd increased their tally to seven points from five games, after two wins, a draw and two defeats.

Andre Ayew opened the scoring in the 17th minute, before Al-Sailiya’s Carlos Strandberg equalised just before halftime (45+1’). Baghdad Bounedjah then got what proved to be the winning goal in the 65th minute. Al-Sadd goalkeeper Ivanildo kept out a penalty from Giannis Fetfatzidis in the 87th minute to ensure victory for the Wolves. ... 

The Al-Sadd first team concluded its preparations for facing Al Sailiya, in the QNB Stars League Round 5 game, which is scheduled to kick off at 7:20 PM on Tuesday evening at Education City Stadium.

The Wolves go into the match with 4 points, occupying seventh place in the table, while Al-Sailiya are in 11th place with 3 points. ...
