Hassan Al-Haydos: I thank Al-Sadd for the confidence in me

Al-Sadd SC is pleased to announce that captain Hassan Al-Haydos has extended his stay at the club for the next five years.

The club management signed a new agreement with the player, keeping him with the Wolves until 2025. Al-Haydos is one of the most prominent Qatari players to have worn the white shirt, and this new five-year contract is a recognition of the great value he has as an essential element of Al-Sadd, and the Qatar national team.

For his part, Al-Haydos thanked the club management for renewing the contract, adding that Al-Sadd has been his home since 1998, and that he is very happy to remain there.

Speaking to the club’s website, the captain said: “I thank the club for trusting me and renewing the contract until 2025. I am very happy here. This is my home, and there’s no need for any contracts between me and the club.”

Al-Haydos explained that the confidence that the club gave him is a motivation for him, which will push him further as they embark on a difficult phase with huge challenges coming up in the new season.

He added: “Al-Sadd is going through a more than wonderful period; the start of the league has been perfect after the victories over Al-Kharaitiyat and Al-Sailiya.”

Asked about having the captaincy of the team, Al-Haydos said: “Leadership is a responsibility. The Al Sadd players are like my brothers, and we have been playing with each other for a long time. Our goal is one, as a family, which is to keep Al Sadd always at the top.”

Several players have had their contracts extended recently, and on this, Al-Haydos remarked: “The club management is working hard to maintain the stability of the team, and this is what has happened, with the renewal of most of the players’ contracts, in order to build for a better present and and a better future for Al Sadd.”

The Qatari star concluded by saying: “I’m delighted to renew the contract, I’m happy to remain with the Al-Sadd family. Our ambition is huge, ahead of the next phase, and our goal is to compete for all titles.”
