Al-Sadd goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham stated that the team’s victory over Al Arabi, and qualification for the final of the Qatar Cup, was well deserved.
Speaking to the media after the match, Meshaal said: “The victory came as a result of the great effort made by the team in this game, as everyone worked hard to qualify for the final. Thank God we succeeded in qualifying, and we must now focus on the next match.”
About the secret behind the team’s victory, he said: “The match was difficult, but with the red card we got a better chance and we benefited from it well. We succeeded in going ahead and winning the game, and this is what we were looking forward to, and thank God for that.”
Meshaal continued: “Our goal is to win the cup and we have the ability to retain the title for the third time in a row, and it will be a new achievement that will be counted for the current generation of Al Sadd.”
