Al-Sadd continued their run of victories in the Qatargas U-23 League, after defeating Al-Arabi 2-1 in the Round 16 game which was played on Tuesday at Al-Shamal Stadium.
With this victory, the Wolves maintained their lead in the league with a tally of 41 points. Al-Arabi took the lead in the 62nd minute through Ahmed Salim Hajjaj, before Al-Sadd overturned the scoreline through two late goals from Talal Bahzad, in the 88th minute, and then substitute Hassan Ahmed in the 90th minute.
The match witnessed the sending-off of Al-Arabi’s Ahmed Jamal Al-Din in second half stoppage time.
Al-Sadd kicked off with the following lineup: Jehad Muhammad, Talal Behzad, Abdulrahman Masoud, Abdulrahman Rashid, Abdullah al-Ali, Faisal Azadi, Mustafa Tarek Mashaal, Abdullah Badr, Moaz Abdullah, Rami Suhail, Saud al-Nasr.
Hassan Ahmad, Khaled Al-Riyami and Muhammad Nasser Al-Mannai came on as substitutes in the second half.
